I *know* it's an addiction. This would be why I took months to finally join it, as fascinating as it is. :)

But then, I know I'm obsessive about things, so theoretically I'll be able to keep the addiction in check (along with the rest of my obsessions), due to sheer lack of time.

as for icons, there are entire communities devoted to them. I have several from the Buffy_icon myself.

For some reason, I really don't like it when people have userpics that are photos of people, but aren't of themselves. I want people's userpics to be of them so I can recognize them, but it doesn't bother me when they have abstract graphics or photos of objects or things like that. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that there are communities about userpics, though :)

Hmm... I think, when/if I ever get around to getting an icon, it would either be of myself (which would rather require me to determine what the specs on icons here are) or of something non-human.

I have no idea yet, though. I'm not strongly in need of an icon, as much as they may amuse me sometimes.
