[phones]

Heh. It's mildly amusing to have to tell people who call me on the phone - even if for a valid reason - that anything that I need to remember has to be written down (if it's short, I'll write it down right there), so any necessary information needs to be snail or emailed to me, and _not_ told to me on the phone. I do not process auditory information very well, especially if there are lots of words with no pauses; let me read things, don't read them to me!

Gah.

i process auditory information fine, i think; but i still have this policy. work constantly makes me feel like the guy from memento. i route conversations to email whenever possible because of this.

Work is usually good about this, thankfully. It wasn't work. I might have had to kill someone if it were someone from work calling to tell me that they had snail mailed me something.

But, yes. I also like email or snail mail because then I have something I can easily reference later!

I hear you, as it were, which is to say I'm not particularly good with auditory info and prefer words on paper or screen.
