[work.glee] M:tG

I love working at a place where people play Magic: the Gathering during lunch.

Of course, now I miss playing... I haven't had cards since '98, and haven't purchased them for even longer.

I will _not_ spend needless money obtaining cards. I will _not_! (and yes, I could borrow cards, but it's far more fun for me to create decks out of my own cards, for some reason)

(Also, Unhinged and Unglued amuse the _hell_ out of me)

The fact that the cards tend to be pretty does _not_ help, either.

There are a couple on-line versions of that. :)

Mmm. I don't actually tend to do much online gaming, actually.

Besides, if I'm going to be playing games with pretty cards, I want the pretty cards!

Get more tarot cards? Also, it's possible to get blownup art prints of M:tG cards.

*laugh* Wouldn't blowup art prints be _more_ expensive (not to mention taking more space)?

Oooh, the absolute best workplace I've ever had was when I was in a small engineering group that played MtG at lunch. It was a lot of fun. The company I worked for then stopped being in the business that engineering group was created for and the group broke up. It was very sad :(. I have a tote full of cards, must be 50-60 pounds worth, I have not played with for 4-5 years now.

Oh...I miss magic...

I miss it bunches, I do.

I LOVED Unglued. I was at a prerelease tourney where they unveiled it and I almost got thrown out because I was argueing with a judge. See, in a previous round someone had raised a ruckus because his opponent played the minotaur with Denim-walk on him. So he took off his pants.

Judge ruled it fair.

So when *I* got Denim-walk played on me, I was going to take off my pants. Judge said no.

No? NO? Just 'cause I'm a girl? That's not fair!!!

There was much argueing. Oddly enough, even my opponent was on my side in this particular rules argument.

tee hee.

*glee* I _love_ this story. Just saying. :)
