Incidentally, I'm afraid of how much digging I'm going to have to do in order to find my car when I get home. I keep seeing people talking about it snowing.

You do not need to worry much. There has been one storm, with about a foot of snow.

It's above freezing today and is supposed to be again on Friday and Saturday, so the amount should be somewhat reduced, at least!

Between the weather warming up and other people digging their own sidewalks/cars/etc. out, it shouldn't be too bad when you get back.

Other people digging may not actually matter - I park in a parking lot, and I'm not sure if there will be snow plows this year.

It is about 40 degrees and I hear it will be warm Friday too. Don't know when you are coming back but it is melting.
