[scheduling]

My schedule between now and February is ridiculous. Especially on weekends.

It's _possible_ to get time with me between now and February (even if you have not already asked), but unless there are good reasons that you can't wait until then (for example, if you are not normally local to me) it's highly unlikely that it'll happen. (To those who I've already emailed my schedule between now and then, you're exceptions to that thought. Well, unless you all decide you want to see me in the same week!)

Sheesh. I don't know how I always forget that December is insanely social, but I regularly do. At least the SAM-e is helping with half of my problem with the season! (the seratonin part. The melatonin part is still an issue, and dramatically affects my energy levels. As evidenced by the fact that I faded after only two hours at a party tonight. Of course, I _got_ there already over-socialized...)

I figured a week night would be easier to meet you and be less taking of the Joe-time. I don't have any firm plans at all right now (except Arisia) so if you have days that are better for you, lemme know and I'll write it down (ok, I'll type it into Outlook).

weeknight is really about the only option. Although... don't you have some reason to be in Westford, MA?

That's the town I work in; perhaps lunch or something is another option?

That's where my bro lives. I'm going to be staying with [livejournal.com profile] pancua mostly, but will have a car and am pretty good about not getting too lost when given good directions and plenty of time. :D

Will let you know days that work better for weeknights if lunch doesn't work... is that workable?

I have (vague so far) plans to meet up with a random group of people while I'm out there. You can be first one my list to pick a date or I can ask around and try to get more concrete with some of them.

Your call.

Hmm. Ok. You're arriving on the 17th, and leaving on the 26th?

I'm going to assume neither end date is available.

Lunch would work any day 18-20, or the 25th.

I'll be around for the Flea, but unless you'll be there I don't think I'll see you. But I'll be thinking friendly and adoring thoughts of you anyway!

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-12-12 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
I don't intend to go to the Flea. Dec is already crazy busy, I don't want an excuse to spend more money, and I think I already have plans that night anyway. :)

But yay for friendly and adoring thoughts! Ditto on that, actually. And enjoy the flea as much as I suspect you might! ;)

Two quick questions

What time of day do you take the SAM-e? Also, what are the dates of the Flea?

SAM-e - usually when I get up in the morning, before brushing my teeth or eating. (NOTE: they say to take it on an empty stomach, and they mean it - when I have not, my stomach wasn't happy. It stayed down, but...)

Flea - don't know; not planning to go (don't want more excuses to spend money on things I don't actually need).

this site (http://www.nla-newengland.org/fff.html) says December 17-19, 2004.

Thanks for the info! I may check out the SAM-e, although I've found that 1mg of melatonin at night does wonders (only really good if i'm sleeping 8 hours, though), as do a couple glasses of milk. Between the two I might not have to try tanning beds this year.

*nod* Melatonin _is_ the other subsystem that SAD fucks with, so that makes sense.

I use it when I'm simply unable to sleep, but I find that if I have to use it, I'm awake again in 4 hours. Which is annoying.

But, sleep does make things much less difficult, so I do it every so often anyway!

Interesting - it knocks me out for eight. Good thing I never tried Ambien, huh? I'd never ever wake up. . .

I'll probably save the SAM-e for next year, then, unless this one gets really bad. Still, with LA in the very near future, I don't see that happening. :-)

Mmm. Actually, things which are supposed to help with sleeping apparently affect me in unusual ways. So you might have been fine with Ambien. :)

I too forget how social December is, and now I'm in a frustrating spot with my "fun" Christmas job that I must decide to lose now. Glad to hear you are having better seratonin levels. Baby steps, baby steps!

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-12-12 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Sad! Losing fun jobs isn't happy.

And yes - it's nice having more sane seratonin levels. For the first time this time of year in 12 years!

If you want to postpone monday, that's fine with me, just let me know.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-12-12 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, that's fine!

Partly because you're already _in_ my schedule, partly because today is a good calm day, and partly because I don't want to have to figure out where else in my schedule to fit you. :)
