[poll] Dreams

I felt compelled to ask. :)

[Poll #394417]

I don't think I knew it was possible for someone to fill out a poll before I have time to do so, when I'm the one who posted it. *impressed*

I just about always have weird/unpleasant dreams.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-11-30 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow!

That sounds intensely distressing.

Do you always dream, or is it just that the ones you remember are weird and/or unpleasant?

[identity profile] eisa.livejournal.com 2004-11-30 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't always remember my dreams, but very frequently, when I do they are generally weird and in the range from anxiety-causing to screaming in my sleep awful.

Occasionally, but not overwhelmingly. OTOH, I've been doing Reiki on myself before bed fairly regularly, and that calms me down. Possibly more relevantly, I warded my room last week.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-11-30 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm...

Perhaps I should smudge my room. It's been a while since I did that.

(and doing reiki on myself appears to not have helped, since I did last night and still had an unpleasant dream)

It's tremendously rare for me to remember any dreams at all.

[identity profile] uberjay.livejournal.com 2004-11-30 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Same goes for me. I chose the last option, since recalling a dream is SO rare, they may as well not exist.

Lie down. Sleep. Wake up many hours later. I sleep very deeply...

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-11-30 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Lightest sleeper ever, me. Both in terms of ability to get to sleep, and in terms of staying there.

Ok, perhaps not _ever_, since I do actually manage to sleep!

Remembering dreams

[identity profile] wolfieboy.livejournal.com 2004-12-06 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Exceedingly rare for me. Yet over the last 3 weeks, I've remembered dreams five different times and each was rather odd and rather unpleasant. Two of them involved non-consensual blood draws. Blech. Possibly TMI, but such is...

My dreams are generally muddy not-quite-remembered things. Except for a day or two ago, when I dreamed of a 'causal gun' that would rewind time from the moment of the bullet killing someone, then change things slightly so the shot person died of some accident and the shooter never got the chance to shoot and couldn't be charged.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-11-30 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
My goodness!

And how would one ever know if such a gun existed? Wow.

My dreams have been no more unusual than normal for me. I generally center and ground before going to sleep and leave myself ever so slightly hooked into the earth afterwards, plus my room is fairly well shielded and I've got a couple of gaurdians (but they seem to only help keep the big baddies away; the little things I have to deal with).

I have seen a spat of folks not sleeping very well as of late, enough to prompt another of my friends to have a poll on that topic. I don't know if that's related though.

I remember having a couple of fun dreams in the last couple of weeks, but I don't remember what they were about.

icky dreams. phobic dreams. maybe-i-pushed-it-last-week dreams. yech.

then again, we -were- in my anxiety-prone-inlaws' house in moist, ever-weather-changing TEXAS on a hard and spent-spring mattress for a week. may have had -something- to do with it...

Ah... Yeah, I can see that as difficult and dream-inducing!

*sympathy*
