[weekend]

'Twas a good weekend, starting with dinner with [livejournal.com profile] nex0s Friday night, then off to [livejournal.com profile] quinnclub's party, which we left at 2am. (Yes, I really did leave at 2am. My stamina pills please me immensely, because there's no way I would have been able to do that otherwise!)

Party and dinner were both really, really good.

Saturday morning, was awakened _much_ too early by people honking their horns frequently from probably 9am-11am. Which, since I wasn't in bed until 3:30am, was unpleasant. I'm guessing some sort of signage.

I then went to LL Bean in Freeport, ME, to get winter clothing that I actually _like_, including a pair each of flannel and fleece-lined jeans. I still can't believe that I drove to Maine and back in a single day without being particularly bothered by it. (ok, yes, I was physically bothered by it, but the hour and 45 minute drive each way was fine otherwise. Of course, it was also a _really_ easy drive)

Then, slightly confused timing for my regular call with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe, which was resolved such that I was actually _home_ for our call. Call was good, even though I kept getting distracted by my 2005 road atlas obtained on the way to Freeport. Maps!

Today I was mostly at home, although I did bills and went shopping. Today is also Halloween, even though I didn't actually do anything related to this fact. It's a new year, at least according to pagan calendars. And, at least this (and last) year, this seems very appropriate. My brain is confused by all the time pieces being an hour behind, though...

Ooh, I saw those jeans and thought about getting a pair for Twilight. Are they too warm to wear around inside?

Also, about Samhain -- it's not a new year, it's the end of the old one :) The time between Samhain and Yule is often considered to be "between years."

This, I did not know. Interesting! So there's three months during which there is no year at all?!

Craaaazy.

As for the jeans, not sure about wearing them indoors, as I have not done so yet. I'd hope not, or they won't serve my purposes very well. Also, I don't know how cold you tend to get, so am not sure how similar our reactions will be!

I'm usually pretty chilly, hence the almost getting the jeans for Twilight. But I'm usually okay inside with just regular jeans, so I'm not sure if I would be too hot with another layer or not!

Those poor chickens in [livejournal.com profile] wolfieboy's linked article though...

Stamina pills? Details would be greatly appreciated.

I blame [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe (in a good way, since I approve of them!).

That said...

It's called "CordyMax", and is available from Pharmanex (https://www.pharmanexusa.com). I'd give you a direct link, but I have this odd memory of that not working.
