I am intensely bored today. Possibly related to looking at various travel sites (within the US) and related books (Amazon is evil. I bought nothing, but my wish list got significantly bigger) last night, and some for Australia a bit ago (Swimming with Dolphins! Want!).

I also found myself startling _myself_ when happening to notice myself in the mirror w/no glasses. *sigh* I also see better with contacts vs glasses, as well as not being one for whom glasses are an improvement (some people look _good_ with glasses. I don't look bad, but I look better without them). I really should give more consideration toward eye surgery, even if the terror relating to them fucking up is a big factor.

I seem to be a bit ansty with wanting something to _do_, but I don't have any free weekend days for a while. Perhaps I can convince my visiting friend to do something Sunday... and I need to do laundry and bills!

Hey, at least I have the energy to be bored. Right? And I _am_ doing work...

My glasses mask the dark circles under my eyes. Otherwise I would look better without glasses I think.

~pokes you for no apparent reason~

I _have_ dark circles under my eyes. Always. It appears to be genetic, although it can certainly be darker if I actually am overly low on sleep.

*MEEP*!

[identity profile] terminalwriter.livejournal.com 2004-10-01 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
That's how it is with me. Always there, but moreso without sleep.

~grins at your reaction and starts tickling~

*raises eyebrow* You'd best be glad I'm not ticklish, or I'd be hating you right now. Tickling is, IMO, evil.

[identity profile] terminalwriter.livejournal.com 2004-10-01 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Evil?

Of course it's evil. My wife tells me so all the time. But it's a good evil, not an evil evil...

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-10-01 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. At least in my opinion, it's an evil evil. (Perhaps related to having three brothers, and to people who don't necessarily _stop_ when asked, because hey, you're laughing, you must be having fun. *grumble* Is why I'm no longer ticklish)

[identity profile] terminalwriter.livejournal.com 2004-10-01 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm only ticklish in one spot, excluding when my mom tickles me, somehow she can always tickle me.

My wife on the other hand, I can say, "Tickle tickle" and she is ticklish.

Which could be quite fun, if she didn't know the one spot that is ticklish on me...

Yeah, those people are always "fun", or the people where you wave your hand at them from across the room and say you're psychically tickling them. *evil grin*

I still wish that at some point I would be ticklish. There is a rare time when I'm ticklish if I've been up much, much too much so that I'm about to fall asleep standing up. Then, I'll be ticklish. But I'm not conscious enough to understand it.

There's been some concern lately about the effects that swimming with dolphins (whales, seals, etc) has on them and their behavior -- you might want to look into it further if you're seriously interested in doing it :)

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-10-01 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. Really?

I am most certainly seriously interested in it. Any suggestions on what specific information to look for, and/or where to look?

[identity profile] dancingwolfgrrl.livejournal.com 2004-10-04 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
I saw an article on it somewhere -- I'll let you know if I manage to dig it up. A peek at Google turned up this (http://www.wdcs.org/dan/publishing.nsf/allweb/CE3487228EF3EA8A80256C130056E1BE), one company's list of concerns.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-10-20 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Interesting. Seems to be mostly about taking a boat to get there, rather than meeeting them by swimming out from shore?

And... http://www.earthwatch.org/expeditions/wursig.html

Ok, make that 'I can easily see how that could be a problem', but I'm not sure what I would need to do to reduce that problem, and/or where to get more information.

I think you look good in either case but I think I like you better with the glasses. But then, what do you expect, I've got a mild glasses fetish.

Out of my head! *poke*

Well, and the money too.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2004-10-06 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
*chuckle* Well, money, too, but that's less of a factor for me than the sheer terror!

*nodnod*

My eyes!

*hide!*
