[sick] dizzy

Oh, _I_ see...

Being dizzy appears to be my body's only vaguely useful method of getting me to stop trying to do too much when I'm sick/exhausted. Ok, _fine_, body. Nap now!

My body regularly does the smackdown on me when I get sick since I'm not going to get better otherwise. Good luck and the two of us are thinking of you.

Yep. The smackdown was successful, although I appear to have trouble sleeping as much as my mental fuzziness thought I should, because my body did not agree. I spent an awful lot of time just lying there and letting my eyes relax. It was odd.

But, better-ish!

I've found quite often that rest and sleep are different things. There is so much input out there that having time to process even if I don't sleep is a good thing.

Yay for better-ish!

Yes. I do the time to process thing regularly enough, but that's not what I refer to as 'rest'. It's time to myself, to think.

It's different than the amount of time I spent just _lying_ there, and letting my brain either be quiet or wander as it wanted to.

I'm also rather wondering about the metaphor I used and I wonder where my mind was that I came up with it. *shrug*

*amused* It did seem a bit odd to be coming from you, but it was also a very accurate description!

Hibernation is a basic recovery mechanism. *hands pillow*
