Spider-Man has a hyphen, a very short (but amusing) post on [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom's journal.

Also. Warm Fuzzies! Seen on [livejournal.com profile] brynndragon's journal. *offers warm fuzzies*

Finally, go go answer this question on [livejournal.com profile] maedbh7's journal! (I'm still trying to craft my answer; lack of sleep makes words less friendly with me!)

Is it just me, or do Warm Fuzzies look a lot like tribbles?

Totally tribble-like!

Hey! I have a tribble. It vibrates and coos when you hit it.

Seriously! It does!

I believe you, because I have one that does that, too! Oh such dorks are we.

Now I am in the mood to re-watch Free Enterprise while cuddling me tribble.

Oh such dorks are we

Hey! I represent that!

(wait - is it _bad_ to be a dork? ;)

Spider-Man has a hyphen

A sexy guy like that? You think he would have lost it by now...

Hey! There's nothing wrong with still having your hyphen...

Besides, he's young yet ;)

He's been around since 1962. 42 is young yet?

Heh. I'm not sure how I feel about the warm fuzzy *cough*tribble*cough* story...it's obviously an allegory for something in modern culture, but I can't decide if the author is pushing polyamory, or just a more loving culture, or what.

Or maybe I should just take it as a love-thy-neighbor-make-peace story and move on with it.

[identity profile] intenselaura.livejournal.com 2004-07-01 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
That's almost exactly how I reacted to it myself.

It is very hippie-crunchy-granola, as it's originally from the same era a "Free to Be You and Me" and written by a psychologist who wanted to promote "emotional literacy". Given that the kidlings of that era are somewhere between 25 and 35 at this point, is it surprising that polyamory is so happy hippie in philosophy? ;P

I answered that question in [livejournal.com profile] maedbh7's journal. But I got screened. Hmph.

You could probably guess my answer. It was "deep, intense conversation."

And I loved the pedantic answers of the difference between a hyphen and an en-dash.

You got screened? Weird. I wonder if her journal is set to that automatically for people not on her friends list?

And yes. I could guess. :)
