[kitty] Lonely kitty!

No one's been home during the day for a few days, and no one is home right now.

The result of this is that my kitty's a bit lonely, and even though he helped make me get out of bed this morning, he tried to get me to go _back_ to bed when he realized that I was intending to go to work. This amuses me immensely.

Pretty astronomy picture of the day today!

And... [livejournal.com profile] starandrea rants on her notice page (yes, it's political).

[links, good things] (some politics, yes)

I like this map, in [livejournal.com profile] postvixen's journal better. (Stop with the either/or, dammit!)

I also like the tidbits of good, in [livejournal.com profile] moominmolly's journal.

It's sunny out, too! And I had a visit from [livejournal.com profile] majes last night. Much chatting, much goodness!

[poll explanation] Ok, now I'm telling you people _why_ I had that poll

My apartment is clothing-optional. I don't always tend to remember that many/most of my friends are ok with this, and my default when there are people there who don't live with me is to remain clothed.

This time of year, this matters less, because I leave my apartment fairly chilly (read: 60 F unless my roommate or I are sufficiently cold to want to turn it up to 65-ish) for cost reasons, and am therefore too cold to want to be without clothing.

For people's future reference, if you are someone that I am comfortable specifically inviting to my place (parties are a hazy area for me, as far as that goes, and I've only ever had a couple of those anyway), you are someone I'm comfortable enough with that you being without clothing in my home is fine. I will probably not remember that people are comfortable in reverse, though, so unless I or my roommate actually thinks to ask, I at least am likely to remain clothed (although when it's sufficiently humid out, I am more likely to think to ask).

An exception to this is probably if I have family visiting. I may have grown up in a clothing-optional household, but I know that at least some of my siblings are not comfortable with that idea. But don't worry; if I have family visiting, I will say so.

And, as a result of that poll, I'm having a random and not terribly serious thought about having a party solely for random clothinglessness reasons. :) (not terribly serious because this is the wrong time of year for me to hold a party!)

[edit] Also not terribly serious because I'm not sure I'd _want_ to hold a party for no other reason than that. Much as I like y'all, hosting parties is a bit stressful for me!

[link, politics]

[livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha pointed to this article, and my reaction seems to entirely be made up of being tired. Weird.
