http://www.feedblitz.com/ makes me happy, 'cause I can get updates of RSS feeds via email. _Much_ easier than an RSS reader!

I use rss2email for that (and lurve it) - http://rss2email.infogami.com/

I run it on my osx box, and used to use it on linux. Haven't tried it out on Windoze.

...sorry, I'm just sitting here being amused at the thought of [livejournal.com profile] wispfox using Windows...

well, clearly she's not the only one who reads her blog. ;-)

*grinning*

I do ever use it. For games. Which I can't play. So right now I'm not.

But for anything else, no. Even though it's something I'm pretty familiar with, it does piss me off too much, too often.

I'm not sure I _do_ read my own blog, actually. ;)

Really? I much prefer Google Reader for feeds. The keyboard shortcuts for it are divine, if I want to open something for further review or later persual, it's a breeze to open in a new tab, and most importantly, I don't have my new e-mail alert going off every time someone updates livejournal. I mean, I want to see all that stuff, but when *I* take the time to go to my rss reader, and not because I think it might be a work e-mail or important message coming in.

The ones I'm using this for are at most daily. Also, I tend to forget to go to non-LJ sites. :)

Also, work and personal email are separate for me. :)

Oh, I solve the forgetting thing by piping LJ into my feed reader as well. Now I sometimes tend to forget to go to non-greader sites. *grin*

Work and personal e-mail are separate for me as well, but a) they come into the same client, which checks both accounts (I always do IMAP, so they still don't mix, but it means I only have one app clamoring for my attention, not two), b) keeping them separate doesn't really stop them from trying to get your attention unless you specifically only have one autocheck.

Then again, for all I've said above, I'm a poor model. I just subscribed to W00T via twitter, instead of by greader. :P
