work

You know what I always, always forget? I _hate_ being a team lead for anything. I delegate worth crap, am really bad at estimating how long things will take, and don't do well going between high level and detail work all the damn time.

I've done this to myself before _at this job_, although in a very different way. You'd think I'd learn. (of course, it wasn't originally supposed to _be_ a lead role...)

*sigh*

Poor Fizzgig! Can you delegate some of this, or work with someone to help you flesh out the schedule?

The Trick

The very first thing I delegate is someone ELSE to the do the rest of the delegating!

1) love the icon!

2) I'm equally bad at delegating, to me the issue is "trusting others to do things I can do at approx. the level of quality I do them."

3) Ditto on estimating. I've gotten pretty dang good at estimating how long it will take ME to do something. I was horrified to find that doubling that isn't quite enough for "normals". :-)
