[early morning]

It is, in fact, very early. Apparently they wake people at 5am, not 6am, after the sleep study. And I was awake at 4:30 for bathroom need, so got up then. It's good that I was as tired as I was, having slept poorly for a few nights, or I'm not sure I'd have slept much, being all covered in wires, and all.

Tired now.

And, I missed one of the few thunderstorms which actually made it to Andover! I saw parts of it on the way to the sleep study, and it looked to have been quite impressive. I like rain when it's downpouring and lighting and thunder, and doesn't last for days. And I _still_ haven't been around anyone I'm dating while there's a lightning storm... _that_ ought to be interesting, when it finally happens!

Was reasonably easy to sleep, other than the wires all over the place, since it was _quiet_, unlike at home. Missed my cat, though. And, more strongly than I had been when I was sleeping at home earlier in the week, I missed [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe.

Being cuddled is one of the things that helps me fall asleep, as long as I can do it in a comfortable position, so sleeping in funny places (where it's not usually as easy for me to sleep) always makes me really miss the usual cuddlers.

Ah! Yeah, that makes sense. :)

We might get thunderstorms here this weekend. *)

Ooooh. I hope so!

5 am? Wow. Where'd you do your study? (Mine was at Emerson.)

It was a fun storm yesterday evening. I was outside with my kids just as the pressure wave hit, the wind picked up and the sky darkened. If my youngest was not pretending to be scared and wanting to go in I would have stayed outside and reveled in the rain for a bit.

it was a decent storm, though shorter than i'd thought it would be. the finale was impressive, though - lightning hit close enough that my hand (which was against the wall) felt like it had been shocked.

i turned off the computer and lit some candles, all hopeful. but the rest was just rain, alas, and i think the lightning didn't hit anything electricity-related.

You and my friend Lauren might have run into each other, I swear. She just had one too. (I'll probably be seeing her Tuesday before we come over.)

When do you get results/what kind of results will you get?

Is part of the problem pure noise levels?

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-06-15 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Results: when I go to an appt w/the sleep doc (~3 weeks after it).

noise: probably, but that's not all of it, since most other people can sleep through (and fall asleep with) things that I can't.

Prob'ly not; I was in Nashua, NH. :)
