When I am wearing boots, my feet look like someone else's to me. It's actually fairly disconcerting. :)

I suspect the fact that boots make more noise when I walk has something to do with that, as well.

My feet look the most like my feet when they are bare, sandles are almost bare, and sneakers are fairly normal for me. That's about it. :)

But do they *feel* like someone else's feet?

If I look at them while I am walking, they do briefly feel that way, yes. Because of the disconnect, though, no other reason.

Every once in a while, I look at my feet, and they look huge for a second. Or a word, which I realize afterwards is spelled perfectly fine, and it looks completely wrong. Double-takes?

I do this, too.

And sometimes, my limbs feel so very huge that when I look at them I wonder where the rest of them went. :)

Well, this was exacerbated (whee word) recently by looking at a friend with size 5 feet.

Yes! I'm sure. :)

And I'm impressed that I managed to spell that correctly, because I totally meant to go back and spell check it before posting, and then forgot. ;)

I'm impressed when I make spelling mistakes and don't catch them. ;)

*chuckle* I make spelling mistakes, as well as brain or typos, and _usually_ catch them. My brain-to-words translation is somewhat handicapped, though. :)

i -looooove- the noise i make when i walk on a hard floor while wearing boots...

When I get a new contact prescription, my hands and feet look like the belong to someone else for a while because they seem to be the wrong distance away to be mine.

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
*nod* I can see that, although I don't think I tend to notice it as strongly as when I am wearing boots vs sneakers or something. And I did previously wear contacts for many years. :)

[identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
*smile* And does this mean you wear boots frequently? :)

[identity profile] bridgetester.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
like tap dance, but not?

[identity profile] wolfkitn.livejournal.com 2005-02-06 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
whenever i can. ;)

nah, more of a *clip* *clop* *clip* *clop* *clip* *clop*. they sound confident and forward-stepping; not quite "these boots were made for walkin'," but definitely announcing my presence, or something like that. :)
