Overexcitability and the gifted, link found on [livejournal.com profile] tafkar's journal.

I especially like the last sentence:

"REMEMBER THE JOY
Often when overexcitability is discussed examples and concerns are mostly negative. Remember that being overexcitable also brings with it great joy, astonishment, beauty, compassion, and creativity. Perhaps the most important thing is to acknowledge and relish the uniqueness of an overexcitable child or adult."

I so wish that my parents had read this article when I was a kid. I'm positive that I'm Emotionally OE. It can be wonderful to feel so profoundly. But too often I can get hurt and confused. Scared even. It can be tough, and it's nice to remember the positive points.

I can't concentrate to read through it!

Yes. Yes, indeed.

It's like... I'm absolutely Sensual OE. This can be unpleasantly overwhemling, but it can also be really, _really_ pleasant.
