[random] Twilight Covening, APC10

I am _so_ going to Twilight Covening for the first time this year. Simultaneously nervous and excited. Just sent my registration through snail mail today.

It smelled like Fall outside this morning. Must go for a walk today whether or not I have time, because available decent weather for such is running out.

I met [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe a year ago. Which I only even realized because [livejournal.com profile] intenselaura, who I met at the same time, mentioned a few days ago that APC10 started a year ago.

La!

ooh! :)

I *love* Twilight Covening. Which clans did you ask for?

crane, bear, fennec fox, mockingbird

There were a bunch that I was interested in, but those were the most so. And attempting to put them in any order was difficult, since my preferences kept changing depending on when I asked myself.

You?

cool! :)

i'd love to see [livejournal.com profile] fraterrisus do crane, but i think my chances of getting him there are pretty low...

Noted. I may eventually remember to ask. Was idle curiosity, so probably won't remember.

*gigglegigglegiggle*
(I'm remember having to do this the first time when I didn't know any of the clan leaders.)

What I'm doing is a kind of complicated question... I'll let you know when I do! :)

I'm going for the first time this year and am kinda struggling over which clans to choose and why. A couple of people have said not to choose a clan that rooms together because I wouldn't meet many other people, but if I'm there for an intense ritual experience largely with my clan, I don't really see the problem with that.

If you have any advice, I'd love to hear it... Here, or in response ot the relevant thread in my LJ. :)

I agree -- it depends largely on what you're looking for. I think the tactic of reading through the clan lists and seeing what pops out at you is a good one in general

You might think about what you're looking to gain from the experience -- do you want to check out the community? Do you have some piece of personal work you'd like to do? Are you interested in exploring a particular kind of practice?

I have personally never found Twilight to be a very social gathering -- I have made connections with people in my clan several times, but there's not a lot of miscellaneous hanging out time. I've done two clans that cabined together, and those were actually where I did the *most* hanging out with my clanmates.

You can drop me email at dancingwolfgrrl at yahoo if you're looking for more specific info -- I'm happy to talk more about my experiences or the work of the clanleaders I know if that would be helpful :)

if you'd like to run the clans you're thinking about past me, i'd be happy to give you what insight i have on them...

Another one for when I've got it sorted out ;-)
