Borrowing my couchsurfing host's computer

So no pictures for a while!

Went to the Petroglyph National Monument, specifically the Piedres Marcadas trail, as it was near the Post Office. And, as it turns out, not very populated due to being not paved. Walked about 2 miles on mostly level, but sandy, ground. Legs and feet complained a little, but only a little, by the end. About what I suspected I was capable of! Petroglyphs are difficult to photograph!

Went to the Aquarium (tiny!) and Botanical Garden. The garden was very neat. :) I did, however, forget my over-shirt in the car, and due to having intentionally given myself sun exposure in the morning (I'm trying to get a slow tan to better be able to cope with two months of SW sun), ended up burning both arms. Poor arms. It's not awful, but it's definitely there!

At my current CouchSurfing host's home. There's a cat, and a small dog, in addition to her. She's very nifty and friendly, and apparently hosts a _lot_ of people on a regular basis, to the point that people who invite her to things expect that she may have another person with her. Funny. :)

She's warned me that everything in the Navajo lands is highly taxed, so I'll need to be careful to get whatever staples I need ahead of time. Similarly, even though it's not _vital_ yet, I ought to get some block ice, if I can find it, since I'm not sure how easily it'll be available, nor how much it'll cost.

I'm going to call a hot air balloon place or two tomorrow, to see about trying for a morning ride Tuesday before I leave the area. Hopefully it's possible with that much notice, and it's not horribly expensive. :)

Tomorrow, Old Town, and I'm not sure what else yet. Once she's done cooking for a party tomorrow, we'll go look at maps and she'll suggest things. And, of course, I also go pretty much by whim. :)

La!
