[kitty] Vet trip
My cat's response to going to the vet? Pacing around the apartment like a mad creature, verifying that nothing has changed. I haven't added any other animals or anything, right?
He's also not sure he trusts me right now. On the plus side, yummy food!
He has a heart murmur. This isn't news. But, when combined with the fact that he needs a teeth cleaning (which is done under anasthetic), is a problem, because they need to do an ultrasound on him (not cheap) to find out the reason for the murmur before they can safely put him under. Which I really ought to do, anyway - murmurs can be benign, but may not necessarily be. And if it isn't, I'd like to know!
But the procedure(s) can't be immediately, because I just bought a new laptop, and will be paying for my hotel room at Norescon in less than a month.
So. Paying for an ultrasound, then paying for a cleaning (probably in different months). Joy. My cat is just lucky I love him! ;)
*shakes head* Y'know, I never thought I'd be paying multiple hundreds of dollars for a cat's care. But then, I can afford it, so there's no reason I _shouldn't_. I suspect that I shall draw the line at any sort of invasive surgery, though. So I hope the murmur really _is_ benign...
