definitely a cool post!
And, on the veterinary side...animals ALSO have trigger points. Of course there is still much research and it isnt a huge thing...but if ya see a hunch backed dog, usually the neck is the problem (we rotate and move it to find out, do xrays, etc)

Back pain in a cat?
Look at the urine. Infections and renal failure are usually main causes, as cats have fantastic-formed vertebrae structure.

And, just cause I wanna be a fount of information...hairballs?
They say NOW (after studies) that cats do NOT lick THAT MUCH hair from their bodies to warrant vomiting hairballs. They are not like owls who regurge foreign matter.

Hair CAN and DOES pass through on "healthy" cats...they now say cats with recurring hairball vomiting (even long coated kitties) is due to...FOOD ALLERGY or Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Ah. Hmm. Hmm...

What about cats who frequently appear to be trying to cough something up for minutes at a time, but nothing comes up, most of the time?
