In Gallup!

Since I really should have split up Albuquerque's photos by day, at the least: petroglyph park, aquarium & botanical garden, my host's pets, Old town, Rattlesnake Museum (which is in Old Town, so there is some overlap after this which is also Old Town, Tinkertown, Sandia Peak & Tram, balloon ride, Indian Pueblo Cultural Museum, alpacas, scenary on the way to Grants.

Since we last conversed... )

Peeeectures

So most of Gallup is closed tomorrow. Therefore, I shall visit Window Rock - which has something interesting open - and do Gallup stuff Monday, since I'm here two nights and besides I feel like I might be moving too fast as compared with available time anyway. :)

El Morro National Monument and some pictures on the way there. Wolfies!. Some of the Inn at halona and more of the inn. Turtle Rock.

I am still very behind in tagging, describing, etc. :)

The Navajo Pollen Trail dancers were very very cool. I'm having a bit of trouble finding a relevant & useful link on google, although there appear to be youtube links. Fascinatingly, many of the dances reminded me of the one SCA Dance Practice I attended, as well as some folk dancing I did with [livejournal.com profile] starandrea in college (once or twice; I'm not very good at _going_, even though I enjoy it when I'm there). Not that surprising, I suspect, but interesting. My pictures are here!
