It would be really useful if I could turn off my palm's audible alarms by telling it that I heard it.
Of course, considering how often I talk to things, that might be bad because I might not actually realize that it beeped at me, even though I talk back to it.
(Anyone who's tried talking to me while I'm reading or paying attention to a computer can attest to the fact that I can reply without actually having heard them...)
